My fella is moving to Georgia for a job and I want to know what might hurt him. Someone brought up the issue of Fire Ants and someone else said that was the least of his worries. Please, give me some answers to this before I worry myself to death!

It depends on where he will be located.
Atlanta is horrid for its traffic-as stated: 285,85, plus several other routes in or near that city. The only way I want to see Atlanta is on a map.
Costal reagions might get a hurricane or two or three.
Georgia is really a beautiful state-love my mountains.
The environmental hazzards you worry about are not near as bad as if he went to NYC or some other high traffic city/state.
It is a culture shock to live here but the folks are real friendly and down home sorts.
As for wildlife-we do have bears (mts. area) but the wildlife to watch out for are the rednecks. These good ole' boys are a law unto themselves.
