Okay so here's the story.I have been going through some problems and feeling hopeless and unwanted.I asked that the Lord send me a shooting star to let me know that everything will be okay and for me to be able to believe that He will answer my prayers, because I was somewhat skeptical. The first two times I looked out my window asking to see the star I didn't,but then I decided to look again and while I was looking I said,"just to make a wish",and then I said,"oh there's no stars out",a split second later I saw a shooting star and was amazed.I don't want to doubt God but I dont know if i should take it as God answering my prayer or simply a coincidence please tell me your opinions on this I would greatly appreciate it.

Meteors hit our atmosphere on a daily basis, burning up on their descent. Meteor activity picks up towards the April-May boundary, with shower peaks from the Lyrids and π-Puppids in late April, then the badly moonlit η-Aquarids in early May (peak due at about 12h UT on May 6), and the η-Lyrids — a shower new to the Working List — with a peak on May 9, 12h.

So, coincidence. Sorry to burst your bubble. Cant argue with a meteor calandar...

Meteors enter the atmosphere all the time. This is a coincidence. Do you really think that meteor wasn't already falling towards earth before you made your wish?

To pick that this is God answering your prayer would make you a mystic. To pick coincidence just makes you average. Most folks would say coincidence.

Mystics are not those who see visions. Mystics are those who see God in all things.

A mystic looks at the sunrise and says thanks be to God for painting this beautiful gift.

A mystic sees a butterfly and says thanks be to God for sending this beautiful gift.

God bless you.

It was probably your answer. I have done exactly the same prayer and also had it answered many times. People keep stating they want evidence to prove God exist but yet, when it is given to them, they don't believe.

God always hears your prayers but he doesn't always answer in the way you may expect. it is hard to be patient and wait on god but know He will answer when the time is right. keep the faith NES

depending on where you live it can be very hard and rare to see a shooting star. Its a sign from God. He loves you unconditionally.
