I know George Washington was a Freemason but how many were there?

From what I've seen/read, Freemasons were not Christian. Some may have started out that way but are definitely not classified as such after a while.

I would agree that the Freemasons have had a great impact on our country but since the Freemasons were Christians I would have to say that Christianity has had a greater impact.

Actually, Deism had the greatest influence on this country. Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Paine all had great influence on the workings of this country, and all were Deists. You can clearly see Deist ideas throughout the founding documents.
