i got hit by a car in feb and i would be eligible for disability in 4 months could i claim both?

Yes. It's not QUITE that simple, and you need an attorney to advise you fully, but you can collect Social Security disability or private disability insurance and still claim damages from a person who wrongfully injured you (at least in Pennsylvania, this is true.)

I thought SSI was for permanent disabilities, not accidents. A person would be back to work by the time their case was approved.

Depends on who is at fault in the accident.

Depends on what you where doing with the vehicle. Business use or personal. If for business and you have Workers Comp. Then to answer your question....YES.

If personal and their was negligence from another driver then you can sue for these damages.
