Any sane person will admit that even if they are sure they are right, they can't "know" for sure what happens after death.

Then why bother people who aren't the same religion as you but are happy about converting?

If they are enjoying their lives and not hurting anyone, why not let them be?

We say we "KNOW" things, but we can't know for sure. There are some Christians that will point this out repeatedly about the Big Bang, and they have a point. Even though we have very good reasons to believe it, we weren't physically there, so we can not be 100% certain.

We have also never been dead, so we can not be 100% certain of what happens, not matter how convicted we are that we have the answer from God, or the gods.

You may have good reason to believe that the Bible is true, and have what many consider enough evidence to believe in it.

But we are all human, and no one "knows" 100%.

I feel like many people, and I'm sorry to generalize, but especially Christians don't grasp that.

I'm not trying to bash Christians, but it's so frustrating that so many are so smug and act like others are too stupid to "see the truth".

I liked this questionair, very open to suggestion and failed to paint the world into a tiny box as religions tend to.

Religions tend to tell you all about yourself, who you are and where your going; they are the back seat drivers of the universe; when we are trying to find ourselves we find religions are telling us to "find God" as he will show you the way; what can one say to that?

Again, I find it suspicious when others happen to know "God" so well they can tell you how he thinks....geeez louise....

Evidence is defined as being physical or by the corroboration of others through testimony. This is recognized in any court as evident.

Therefore, time and again thousands have attested they have "died" and gone to a place they can identify as "Heaven"; these were persons of different beliefs, some religious, some not; they have testified to the effect that they went "out of body" and even saw their bodys lying there, they were greated by known "dead relatives", some went threw a tunnel and to a "Light" and some were told it was not their time to "die" and they needed to go back, others were given a choice to stay or go; all came back and told this story.

Many stated they heard Doctors-Nurses make specific statements while they were "dead" and out of body and this was later corroborated.

Persons who "died" and came back attest that "everything seemed alive" and they we much more aware of "eveything", even the plants they saw had a vibration and intelligence...are we not moire dead now in this life as we would be more alive in the next?

I can only submit that the facts indicate there is a definate afterlife; all else in religion I would submit are open to the interpretation of the times.

Take it easy, religion is only a grouping, we are all seeking complete answers but we are just human who cant get all of that, the important thing is to live your life to the fullest and affect others in benevolent ways. Its better to be scientific and spiritual, it leads to real understanding. For the scientific side, there are always available resources and information. For the spiritual side, that's a real challenge. Try to read the book Life after Life, these are regarding all people who experienced death and experienced universal love. Try to ask people with genuine experience, you can tell if they lie or tell the truth by the testimonies of their lives and their way of life after the experience. Never mind those who say they are correct, you can judge people by the way they live their life. I have known people who renewed their life with real experience. They are the key to the answers as well as your eagerness to seek its truth.

The unknown scares a lot of people. It takes a intelligent mind to grasp the idea that we don't know everything. However we shouldn't believe in things that have no proof, for it goes against logic. It the hope for understanding everything we must set a ground for understanding anything. Logic and science have set that basis. The scientific method, is our best bet to understanding the universe around us.

Didn't René Descartes (1596 - 1650) say that the only thing we know for sure is that we exist at this very moment?

Is our faith ever confirmed by results or miracles? Could it be that one day ones faith could actually be better than what we now call knowledge?

Couldn't of said it any other way. Wake up people and just enjoy life instead of fighting about what everyone believes in.

I think people just don't think.

Most people who are devout didn't become devout because they met someone who TALKED to them, so why do they think it works to talk at other people?
