First, it's not an either/or. Either we discuss global warming OR we talk about the lack of health care and clean drinking water in the 3rd world. Both are problems worth addressing.
And I don't know where the poster above has gotten his information. The average birth rate per thousand people is around 22. That means in a year around 22 babies are born for every thousand people in the world. T
here are 6 billion people or so in the world which translates into approximately 132,000,000 new people being born each year.

While 8 glasses is said to be the norm, drinking too much water will harm you and possilby kill you. If you are walking around with a bottle of water and keep drinking it forcefully thinking "water is good, why not drink more and more" then you could potentially disturb the ion balance in your body and cause severe problems. On the other hand dehydration is possible, but not likely for people who do not drink that much water. I would say when you are a little thirsy, drink some water. If you drink lots of caffiene or alcohol then consume a little more water. Drinking too much water can kill you, not drinking enough will not kill you. 8 glasses of water varies by sooooo many criterias. Are you 300 lbs or 100 lbs, do you run in the blaring sun?

No that is liberal media propoganda.
Everything is right with the world. All children are happy, healthy and well fed.
Drought is one result of global warming. Its just beginning. You cant put out a forrest fire by squirting water on it one tree at a time. Address the big picture and the smaller details will fall into place. Whether we cause it, cows cause it, or its a natural occurance it is happening and not just an attempt at environmental activists supporting an agenda. Pollution causes death, depleted ozone causes skin cancer. The facts are there.

True, now there's a commercial about soap: Many children die of Diarrhea, and you would hate to let him go, through frequent handwashing diarrhea cases can go down by 50%. Philippine commercial, some of the words are in FILIPINO though.

A lot of children die from this problem, but I doubt that the
number is that high. If it were that high we would not have
the population problems we have today.
40,000 per day = 14.6 million per year.
The birth rate is: 60 per hour or 1440 per day = 525,600 per
year.
It doesn't add up.
That's not to say that the problem is not significant, because
it is. When a child dies for any reason, it is significant.

I don't know if those numbers are true, but even 1 kid dying per day is more important to me than worrying about "global warming".

I agree and while we are on children dying, go look at the abrotion numbers, THOSE are babies dying. Due to the femi nazis saying "its my body" and burning there bra and spitting in the face of the man who wants that child, and basically spitting in the face of there child who cant do anything but scream in silence as their legs and arms get sucked off one by one.
But hey how about that global warming, hurry everyone go buy a prius!
