Ok sure, he is the arch enemy of this God fella, and supposedly God is this great all powerful perfect being, but where are you getting your info from? Either God exists and is giving you the info himself, or he doesn't, and you're giving it all to yourself. Either way, you are just getting it from one source. Why doesn't anyone let Satan give his side of the story? Why do you think God tries to keep you so far away from him and calls him the father of all lies? Maybe because God is trying to keep something from you himself? Because God is power hungry and just doesnt want to loose followers? How do you know God doesn't lie? Because of a warm feeling in your bossom? Yea, he has you whipped. Please, nobody say "I've experienced Satan through Sin." No, you've just experienced Sin. Satan is about letting everyone help themselves, not everyone doing as much bad as possible, that's God talking.

Nothing. If you really look at the symbolism of Satan he's actually more like the kind of deity I could get behind. He's a hero of mine. So much, in fact, that I put him in my personal pantheon of symbolic deities I work with and worship (respect/revere).

My friend, you left out something: If God does not exist, then neither does Satan.
Also, in your list of "maybes" about why God wants to keep us from Satan...did you include the fact that Satan is evil? That maybe God has a very good reason to want to keep us from Evil?
Would you rather let your son burn his hand off in the fireplace, or would you rather tell him, "Hot!"?

Satan gives his side everyday. It's in anger, frustration, profanity, perversion, vanity, murder, child molestation. Do you really want Satan to continue giving his side? What's bad about Satan is that he makes all life suffer and he gets off on it. So,...........Duh.
