The watchmaker analogy is flawed because God did not create the world and then just leave it to its own devices as a watchmaker does with the watch.

The watchmaker analogy is traditionally used by deists - not theists.

Earth and mankind are living, breathing creations and God's hand holds all in balance. Without Him all would cease to be.

I am guessing you are referring to the saying of making humanity. But since God is outside of time, and we are inside of time, it is hard for anybody to understand it. But God is everywhere and anywhere, so he created the cosmos so that we could be formed, and he guides us forward (in our perspective). I know it's a pretty lame answer, but human minds are not the best at understanding God.

Did the watchmaker ever kill any of his watches? Did he ever cause any watch plagues? Or did he ever impregnate a virgin watch?

Joking aside, We live in 3 dimensions, yet I can draw 2 dimensional pictures with ease.

Did Henry Ford have to be inside an automobile to design a car? In order to be God, and create the universe of time and space, he has to exist outside of time and space. He can not be part of his own creation.

But as the Creator, he would understand time more fully then those trapped inside it ever could. So he would be more then capable of creating a device to track time.

God is indeed outside of time ....meaning not governed by our system.
However, it doesn't seem to be a big reach to accept the fact He can peak into our system and even arrange a few matters.

God didn't make watches, humans did. Plus watches were never just spontaneously created by man, they evolved and were created over multiple experiments and refinements over a long period of time.

Nice play on words. Doesn't it all revolve around the complexity of the watch?

If He is outside of time, does that mean He is blind to time, or that He is blind to change as it occurs?

Obviously the answers to each are "No." Thus, being outside of time is not relevant.
