It was on a treaty with, I beleive Turkey, done in the 1800s maybe. Was it with the Ottmans.

Was it Andrew Jackson, maybe.

Don't forget Thomas Jefferson owned a Qur'an, used to swear in that Congressman a few months ago.

I do not know exactly where your above quote is found but remember that the term "separation of church and state" was penned in a letter by Thomas Jefferson ,I believe to a constituate, and not found in any government document.

You have to love some of those quotes by Jefferson. He tried as hard as he could, and never could get himself free of his Christian upbringing and morality.
