There are so many possible causes of chronic nausea that you could run dozens of different tests, and still not find the cause. Any additional symptoms, medical history, daily habits such as diet and exercise, and family history would help narrow down the possibilities. Some more common causes are inflammation of abdominal organs, bowel obstruction, constipation, high levels of uric acid in blood (kidney problem or gout), ulcer, and acid reflux. It might be helpful to visit a specialist in gastroenterology, where they can use a scope to look at your digestive tract.

I had a friend who just went through something similiar, was suffering from nausea which then became very frequent vomiting. Her husband took her to the emergency room and they found that she had a fever and a heart rate of 160 which would not come down. They figured out that she had hyperthyroidism and was suffering what is called a "thyroid storm", which can be very dangerous. The nausea, vomiting, and the irritable bowel syndrom that she had been dealing with were all symptoms of it. She's doing okay now, and is on meds to slow down her over-active thyroid.

If you tend to be underweight, even though you eat normally, if your body temperature is often high, if your heart rate is often high, you may want to consider the possibility that it could be a thyroid problem.

(If your thyroid is underactive, hypothyroidism, you'll tend to be overweight with difficulty losing weight and be intolerant of cold, as well as many other symptoms.)

There are all sorts of tests, but the one you could half-way expect next is esophagogastroduodenoscopy. (Say THAT 3 times, fast!)
