Hi there,

I have a Korg Triton Studio and it says on the back 117V 50/60hz 38w - I bought it in the USA but being in the UK I'm not sure if i need to convert the power supply. It has a power socket on the back and it's the same type of socket which you get on the back of power supply units (psu) on computers. What do i need to do? thanks.

You need a step down transformer 240/120 volts and at least 50 watts output. Maplins will have one suitable. Then you need a connecting lead with a US plug to fit the output socket on the transformer. Since it's marked 50/60Hz, the UK frequency should have no effect on the tone produced! DO NOT plug it into the UK mains supply, you will destroy it!!

You need to step down the uk voltage which is 230volts to the US mains voltage which is 120.
If you dont, your keyboard will go up in smoke.
Try Maplins for a suitable converter.
