Ok. I'm black, and I live in the South. I know there are still KKK about, and they still have clandestine meetings. The hate is still there, it's just revamped a bit.

I deal with it. They are not trying to harm me, they have the right to hate me just for being here and being black. I don't hate them back, and they pose no threat to me. It's their right to feel how they do.

Now why, Oh why, is it not my right to hate Islam? Muslims pose a direct threat to me (us all) and I hate their doctrine (you know, being a female and all with a mind). I'm not harming them by my feelings. Why is there a push for all this PC in the world? Are we allowed to think for ourselves anymore?

And NO. I don't "blindly believe Fox news and CNN". And I'm sure they are not all terrorists. But it is in their Qu'ran to kill, be intolerant, oppress and beat women, and slaughter in the name of whom they call God.

I have no right to hate that? I can be hated for just being black, but I can't hate "That"?

Yes you have that right but as you say, it's not very socially acceptable right now.

I'd point out that the christian bible is also very intolerant and if you disagree, then I don't believe you've actually read it. All of it, not just the nice parts they talk about at church.

I don't know that I'd agree that the KKK isn't doing you any harm as a black person living in the south. Just the fact that they are teaching others, including their children to hate black people is harmful and while it may not have an immediate and direct affect on you today, it still will harm you and other people of colour. When these people don't hire you for a job, harass you, taunt you and scare your children just because of your skin colour, is that not harmful? If that mentality is permitted to grow it would become worse and we may be moving backwards towards far less pleasant times for race-relations.

Fa sho. You can hate any and everything you want. But if you're going to run for office or do anything in the public arena, don't say you hate Islam. Hate makes people sound stupid. Forget about being PC, think about being put into the same category as the KKK. And for the record, the Bible also has plenty of intolerance and oppression, despite the fact that the Ten Commandments are so well known. And let's not forget about the woman's place in the Catholic Church..

No, if you hate innocent people then you are just like the KKK's. They stereotype all Black people to be this or that.
You are stereotyping all Muslims to be terrorists. You have the right to hate them, but where does hating people get to you?
For the KKK, it just made them dumb and retarded.
Also, in the Quran it doesn't state to do terrorist acts or suicide. It is forbidden for us to do these things. Allah has condemned these actions in the Quran. Muslims are not allowed to kill. Women and men are equal in Islam. There are so many rights, but it's not our fault that men are taking those rights away. Women must fight for these rights, but pointing them out in the Quran to those stupid men.
Let's look at this way.
In America, it is against the law to kill, but some Americans still kill despite the law.
In the Quran, it is against our religion to kill others, but some Muslims still do it.
People since the beginning of time have been breaking laws.
You can't condemn everybody for the actions of a bad apples.
I am Black too (mixed with other things) and I will be face with prejudice for being Black and for being a Muslim. But I will tell you something. Nobody is going to take away my pride for being Black and now a Muslim.

I am thinking that it is very big of you to be so tolerant of the prejudices that you must live near and have to suffer. I think that you have a right to dislike/hate whomever you want to.
I do understand what you are saying about the muslims and their religion, as a woman I am affronted by all that they stand for. I am also very concerned about the threat that their belief system poses to us, the American citizens.
I don't think that there should have to be PC this and that. I think that would destroy all that our forefathers died trying to preserve, along with our armed forces hard at battle today. Our freedoms are worth protecting.
I do feel very strongly that we need to protect our country from the forces of all of our enemies.
My question to you, is what does it accomplish to hate?
I know that you have a right. What does it ever accomplish for anyone to hate? To me hate implies that we have surrendered to them, we are giving them a power that they don't deserve to have. To continue to be aware of the danger they pose is completely understandable.
I could be wrong, but I think that you would understand better than anyone the power that hate can hold over people. Why would you want to use your power in that way? As a woman and an African American.
God Bless You!

"Hate" is a bad thing... it only begets more hate and messes with your head. Instead learn what Islam really is about and the difference between people who use religion as a hate weapon and those who try to find peace in religion and then come to your own conclusions. While you may or may not agree with them, you can have compassion and respect. You'll find the sick people who wield Islam as a weapon are just as sick as the white supremacist haters who DO pose a threat to everyone who doesn't agree with them either, even though they don't have a "right" to hate either.

Stop harm where it occurs, WITH compassion, and let what you can't control go. And white supremacists DO pose just as much a threat as any other form of terrorism. Read up and STUDY.

You can hate anything and anyone. Every individual has his own likes and dislikes. But the hatred should not become so powerful that it interferes with your rational thinking. Active hatred which is all-consuming, leads you by nose and then you may commit certain acts which would do noone any good and you would regret.

If you don't like someone or something, just ignore them or make a conscious effort to avoid them as far as possible but never let hatred to overcome you.

It is your free right to hate anyone you wish to. That is a political right. However, from a Christian point of view, it is not OK to hate others. We are instructed to love others, all others. That is not to say that we must like them or like what they think or do.

{ This world, especially the United States, is way too "politically correct." }

We are instructed by God to hate sin, just as God hates sin. If it is not the people you hate but it is the sin you hate then .... yes, you are perfectly right in your hatred. However, when that hate translates to hatred of a human .... then you cross over into the area of sinning yourself.

P.S. You may want to get some deeper instruction in the Muslim holy book to see if it really says or teaches to kill and be intolerant.

You have the right to hate whoever you want, just make sure you're getting all the information about it before you make a decision.

And the Qur'an says to kill only during times of war, to be tolerant of others, and never mentions oppression of women (Yes, there's a difference between Sharia Law and those that are currently upheld in the Middle Eastern countries).

And here's the kicker, as a Muslim, I fully support the war on terrorism in the Middle East, I listen to WABC radio constantly (a strong Republican station), and I vote Republican during the elections. So I stand for many of the same things you stand for.

You, personally, have the right to love or hate any person, creed, race, etc., that you choose.
It may not be recommended, but you have the personal freedom to do so.

The same feelings apply, though, when you hate someone because they are black, white, yellow, christian, muslim, hindu, etc. You are judging a person based on the actions of others...not on the actions of that individual person.

Does that make you wrong? No...not necessarily. That individual may actually want to kill you. Remember...pre-judging is not always incorrect. It just means you are going on a hunch instead of facts.

Good luck, my friend.

Hate anything you want. But, just like the KKK is rightfully seen as being racist hatemongers because of their beliefs, you, too, will be judged for yours.

Klanmembers think they are also justified in hating black people, gay people, etc because of what they think they know about them. Perhaps you should consider that and look a little more deeply into the different beliefs tied to the Muslim faith.
