My brother is in jail waiting to post bond. I've been told that I can't visit him if he's still there tomorrow because I'm less than 6 months out.

Is this a normal rule or is it just where we are?

Anyone with a criminal record cannot be on an inmates visitor's list here in New Hampshire. I believe this particular rule is for all facilities nationwide, but I'm not 100% positive.

Here in NH a person has to have a criminal check done and be approved before visiting a person who is incarcerated.

It's a rule in just about every penal system I'm aware of.

Although you've served your time, there are still those who feel there is a risk involved when those formally involved in improprieties return to an environment of this nature.

Hope this helps...best wishes!
