how to file a tax extension?

we wont be able to file our tax forms in time. What do we do in order to file an extension with the IRS

go to www.irs.gov and file form 4868

fill out form 4868...see the link....print and fill it out....mail it to the address for your state....make sure you file by 04/17/2007...and remember that an extension is only an extension of time to file not time to pay
