Can a 14 year old ride a 36cc gas scooter on a side walk or in the nieghborhood. Im not sure because all of his friends parents let their kids get them. I was just wondering if they are legal in Farmington Hills, MI
I called the police station to find out and they said if their is any law it is a state law and referd me to the states website where I could not find anything at all on the topic. How about an electric one?

Electric = legal
Gas = not.

Speeding is illegal too, but people do it.

It is legal to ride the scooter, but not at 14.

Generally speaking anything 50cc's or less is legal, but laws vary from state to state.
