Are insurance company's obligated to pay for an interpreter for a hearing impaired patient, while being seen by a doctor for an office visit?

It depends on your type of insurance. call to insurance company or read the information of your insurance documents.

I shouldn't think so. However, you might just want to check your particular policy. Perhaps yours does.

The patient has the right to refuse to have an interpreter.
