Sorry to say but my westie seemed to of lost her puppies. Thank you for all the information you gave me and everything. I am going to put her back with the male to wait till she comes into heat again and can be bred again. We do have a beagle that is getting ready to have puppies though!!!

She didn't have the puppies. She lost them when they were still inside of her. It just may not of been her time to have puppies. I think she is fine and I put her back with the male to see if she will come back into heat.

You need to take both of those dogs to a vet and find out why she lost the puppies. I hope it is not a disease or syndrome of some kind, or you could lose your beagle puppies too. Take the dead puppies in and have them autopsied for this. It could save you a lot of headache and heartache. Best of blessings,

You need to have a serious discussion with a vet about the breeding potential of this dog.

Please bear in mind that miscarriage is a trauma for dogs too, as with humans - are you sure you want to risk putting her through this again?

do you care about your westie at all?! don't you worry that since she lost the puppies once it could happen again? why on EARTH would you breed her again so soon? she could die! dog's aren't breeding machines! poor dog.

Before trying to breed again, I would have her checked with the vet. There must be a reason that she miscarried and you wouldn't want her to miscarry again. It's difficult on you and on her.
