We are loosing ALL of our freedoms! The Right to Keep and Bear Arms has been under attack for decades. Our criminal class (the politicians) have an obsession with civilian disarmament.
The Republicans have been dismantling the Fourth and Fifth Amendments as part of their "anti-terrorism" legislation. The Nazis did the same thing with the "Enabling Act", which was also supposed to protect the German people from terrorism.
People had better wake up. If you think that you can gain security by surrendering your freedoms, you don't deserve either one. Our politicians have brought the terrorism down on us. Now, they claim that they will protect us from it. All we have to do is surrender our freedoms.
I don't want their protection and I don't want their security. I want my Rights.

Yes, America is losing it's Freedom of Speech with a government controlled media.
We need to do away with this Patriot Act.
If you don't like the way the system works, then change it. The government works for YOU,not the other way around.
By the way,let Uncle Sam try taking a gun away from a Texan, lol. He's gonna have a fight on his hands.

Remember that your right to free speech is neither granted by nor dependent upon the United States government. Without meaning to be pedantic, consider these words from the Declaration of Indepence: "...We hold these truths to be self evident: that all men are created equal; that they are endowed BY THEIR CREATOR with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness..." [emphasis added] This fundamental recognition of your rights was spelled out before the bill of rights was added to the constitution, and notice to whom the authorship of these rights is acceded: the Creator.
As a nation, we took a stand against an unjust oppressor, namely England, and sought to found our freedoms on something other than the government of man since it was our experience that governments corrupt themselves and the next logical step is to oppress the people it ought to serve. What better candidate for an incorruptible, irrepressible source of freedom than Almighty God?
Lastly, our Founding Fathers believed that it was their civic duty to resist, even to bloodshed and loss of life, any corrupt and oppressive government. My friend, NO ONE BUT GOD CAN DENY YOU YOUR RIGHTS; therefore, live cleanly, justly, soberly but freely, and do not worry about what men may do or say. You are free, though all of hell should try to say otherwise!

The right to carry a gun is pretty much shot already. When Bush decided to tap our lines, free speach was a thing of the past. Go Carlos!

You seem to be confused about what types of speech are protected under the First Amendment.
Hate speech is specifically NOT protected, as its only intent is to harm, defame, or injure others. This would include racist, homophobic, sexist speech, as well as slander, and yelling "Fire!" for no reason in a crowded theater.
The Supreme Court has made it very clear what is protected speech and what is not.
In short, a person (such as that idiot Imus) can hold any kind of prejudicial, hate-filled bigotry he wants.
When he makes such beliefs known in a public forum, he has committed hate speech, which is no longer protected, and is prosecutable.

No, we haven't. You can say whatever you want, just be prepared to suffer the consequences. If you make remarks that are hateful or spiteful of others the government, as well as normal individuals have the right to reprimand you. Everyone should have the ability the defend and protect themselves, from those who are not sensitive or understanding.

Yahoo! just had some dumb system for booting out people who got to many violations...but i do think they have lightened up as i don't see so many frivolous violations...it seems they were losing a lot of customers...maybe..but its still fun and i am still here..have fun..
Yes, Americana's have not only lost the Freedom of Speech..but they have lost their sense of humor...oh not for Chris Rock and Richard Pryor(the late and great) they can say any darn thing and its so funny but let a non black say this and they are a racist...poor old Krammer got nailed to the wall for losing his temper at some hecklers..this was blown way out of proportion...enough said..

The Patriot Act has given this cowboy Federal Administration suppressive powers that would be otherwise unconstitutional. Thank your Congressman who voted for it.
It has not been tested in the courts. Where are you ACLU ?

Is it completely impossible for you to exercise your freedom to express yourself without being rude and sub-human?
If so, then don't speak.
If you're incapable of civilized behavior, lock yourself in a closet and never come out again.
