After you file your return you can go on to the irs website (irs.gov)and click on my refund. You will need to know how much your getting back, your filing status and SS# to access it. That will tell you what day your refund should be arriving. You can do the same with state. Just google virginia dept of taxation and click on my refund. Keep in mind though that you need to give the irs time to process the return before you go online. if you e-file give them 24-48hrs. if you mail them in i would give it atleast a week. You need your social security number, filing status, and amount of refund as shown on your return. Go to irs.gov then to "WHERE'S MY REFUND"
