i have to wait two weeks for a second scan to see if my pregnancy will continue due to brown discharge and only a small rise in hcg went up 33% in 48 hours level the first scan was just a sack measuring about 5 weeks i'm so worried any chance it could be good news :(

hi, the worst thing to do now is worry although i know from experience that can be difficult, i had this with my first child and everything turned out to be just fine, the reason you probably have to go back is because you are so early on in pregnancy and because they only see the sack at the moment they need to see the baby so they can do all the necessary measurements. the brown discharge may just be what would have normally been your next period so your body has just released a small amount of brown discharge as your body will only just be adjusting to your pregnancy. i hope everything turns out good for you and please try to relax, put your feet up and let people wait on you until you know for sure all is OK

Being that you had brown discharge, that's a good sign. Brown is older blood. I went through the same thing at week 6. It's very frightening to have to wait....just trust in the fact that your body is doing the best it can for the baby.

nicely i'm 10 weeks and for for the wait to verify IF we've been pregnant is worse, yet that would replace as i'm getting greater alongside. I understand that as quickly as you get closer and closer on your due date you're counting the hours until eventually your toddler is due. i'm no longer there yet. Oh yet for me what's worse than the two weeks you need to attend to verify is the two weeks left on your first trimester. OMG i won't be able to wait to get this trimester over with! this would be a ways worse.

oh yes it is very possible that everything will be just fine some people have different pregnancies and your baby may only be 5 weeks pregnant good luck and try not to worry stress can cause a miss carraige hang in there.

There's every chance it could be good news otherwise they wouldn't have asked you to go back in two weeks. Just relax as much as possible. I really hope things go ok for you. xx
