Matthew 7:13-14__"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

Most people don't want to accept what Jesus had to say, they want to make their own decisions without thought or consideration to him or to Jehovah. They want to go the easy way which doesn't take any effort, means they don't have to answer to Jehovah, but it doesn't have to be that way. We all have a choice - whether we are on the broad and narrow road isn't dependant on anything but ourselves - we choose which road we walk along.

To be on the narrow road means we have to accept Jesus as the means of our salvation, and we have to do God's will. It's not easy - Jesus said it would involve picking up our torture stake and following him continually. Our faith should be a way of life.

I notice from several answers people don't like this question - they think you are singling them out. You aren't - the Bible gives people the consequences for failure to do the things Jehovah and Jesus has asked of them - Adam and Eve were told what the consequences were if they ate the fruit, and we've all been told the consequences of failure to do God's will - we have the choice, listen to God or not. If people don't want the punishment then they need to do what they've been asked to do. This is not harsh - Jehovah disciplines those he loves. He loved humankind enough to send his son to die for us - but if anyone doesn't want to accept that precious gift, then God will not thrust the wonderful blessings that gift provides on ungrateful individuals.

This is a really good question. I have now sat here for 20 minutes re-phrasing my answer. So I once again resort to my wonderful study guide. I really like the way he words it. I hope you do as well. (Just wanted to say thanks for the great questions...even if many people cannot appreciate them, your brothers and sisters in Christ do. God Bless!!)

The gate being so strait and the way so narrow, it is not strange that there are but few that find it, and choose it. Many pass it by, through carelessness; they will not be at the pains to find it; they are well as they are, and see no need to change their way. Others look upon it, but shun it; they like not to be so limited and restrained. Those that are going to heaven are but few, compared to those that are going to hell; a remnant, a little flock, like the grape-gleanings of the vintage; as the eight that were saved in the ark, 1 Pt. 3:20.

Jesus has told us three things about the strait gate.
1. It is the gate that leads to heaven.
2. It is DIFFICULT to enter.
3. There will not be many people who go in the strait gate.

The points that Jesus has made about the wide gate and the broad way.
1. It is a wide gate.
2. It is EASY way to go.
3. It is the gate that leads to Hell.
4. There will be many people who go in the wide gate.
Ive heard it said, anything worth while is not always the easiest. I hope this helps!

That means that it is very easy to do things to go to hell, because you can do as you please. even things that many people like such as being rich, but also you can lie and say anything you want, eat and drink anything you want, all thing are free to the taking for you, for evil has no rules, lust, sex and anything you want to do you can. so that is why so many people turn to evil, and it is also for many reasons.

but to get to Heaven is very hard, because there is a lot of work and effort. there, are rules, what not to do. and most people do not like rules. most people see getting drunk, staying out all night, sex at all times, and with anyone they wish, to them that is better. it is so easy to Fallow the devil.

but it seems so hard to fallow God. the size of the Gate, Road means that they do not have to be big and wide, for their will not be many people on the road to Heaven.

But the Road to hell is wide and the Gate is also. for there will be many people on the road to Hell. and it will be a large crowd.

So you can see, most of the people on this Earth will never get to Heaven. and I also think that includes many Christian. why?

For I have seen them, they pry go to Church and claim to be a Christian. but soon as they walk out of the Church they are cursing, drinking, and going wild.

This is something that would happen every day of the week, I will never let out any names of anyone. but this woman said to be a Christian, she would complain about how bad other people act. and yet, she cursed all the time, every time she talked there was a curse work in it some where. yet, she said, that she was going to Heaven. I never could understand how she could think that. but to this day she has never changed, she cannot see that what she does is wrong? people have said things to her, but she just says, oh' sorry. but then still nothing changes.

But anyway, you get the point I am trying to make. it is the same as for the Rich. they go to Church, but yet, they know what God says, abou their money and riches. but they ignore this, thinking that does not matter much. but it does, or it would never have been put in the Bible.

When the Bible talks about gates it is talking about the two different paths (or life styles) people have. either one you live your life in the world (by not following God and his word) or you life the new life in Jesus (which you part your self from the world and follow God and his Word)

The reason so many are on the road to destruction is because most people don't belive in God or don't want to follow his Word for they love and injoy their sin full life. and because of the fact that it is much easyer to sin than follow God's Word.

The reason why few people are on the road to life
is bacause now a days there are few people that you can find that realy worship God with all their hearts and that realy follow his Word.

According to the passage you've quoted, it seems to have something to do with the fact that the road to life is small and hard to find.

But what really is going on, is in your judgment, people are not following the word of God. Many so called Christians are on the path to destruction because they believe they are infallible and in doing so pass judgement on others. Jesus teaches us to love one another unconditionally, but most churches like to focus on old testament stories about what not to do, causing the followers to miss the real message and get caught up in their own ideals.

Jehovah gives everyone on earth the opportunity to gain everlasting life. To have eternal life in Paradise, however, we must worship God properly and live now in a way that is acceptable to him. Sadly, many refuse to do so. That is why Jesus said: “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.” (Matthew 7:13, 14) True religion leads to everlasting life. False religion leads to destruction. Jehovah does not want any human to be destroyed, and that is why he is giving people everywhere an opportunity to learn about him. (2 Peter 3:9) Really, then, the way we worship God means either life or death for us.

Most people are on the broad road leading to destruction because of what Satan is doing. 2 Cor. 4:4 says: "among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through." Most people choose to be deceived by Satan into believing lies instead of the truth from God's Word. For instance, the churches teach that Easter is a Christian observance, although it is common knowledge that Easter has pagan roots. Still, most will celebrate Easter and other pagan holidays insted of following Biblical guidelines. The consequesces? Destruction.

Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way on the road to life.

WOW!!! How long did it take you to complete this monumental survey? I mean, it's just fascinating. I would really like to know the numbers of those "on the road to destruction" and "on the road to life". You do have numbers, don't you? Your question reeks of negativity and pessimism. Aren't you supposed to be full of hope and joy?

Only the souls dominion bent came here, a few souls are here by mistake, they really want love not dominion. Many that are here want to be here.
I believe in a god of unconditional love that created our souls with free will (not humans) in his likeness. many souls could not bear to leave fathers side for the loss of love. many souls went out and returned to share their adventures. Some souls rebeled wanted to be a god themselves. This place (earth system) WAS CREATED FOR THE SOUL TO MAKE ITS FINAL CHOICE. Do they really want to be a "little God and live in dominion=lordship over others. or return to father of love/fellowship/joy/sharing/ab... bliss.

What if heaven and hell are exactly the same except for one difference? What ever you picture in your head heaven to be, imagine hell to be the same except for one difference. Everything you can do in heaven you can do in hell except for one difference. The difference is love or dominion. If you choose love you are in heaven, you are sharing love/joy/fellowship, absolute bliss in all you do.

If you choose dominion you are in hell, everyone will be dominion bent, acting without regard to anything but personal pleasure, personal gain, exercising power over others. Everyman for himself in all that is done. Everything else is the same.

Now which path do/will you choose? LOVE or DOMINION

P.S. Doesn't hell feel a lot like earth?
P.S. S. If you choose dominion click on exit, there is nothing here for you.
