The hair of my grand-daughter who is 4 months old ( healthy in all respects) started tangling. At the ends of her hair small knots (like very small balls) are seen. The hair on her head is not much dense. What might be the reason for hair tangle? Can it be brought to normal condition with some available baby anti tangle sprays? If so kindly suggest what to do. Actually what might be the reason for hair tangling even in audults? Is it any type of disease?

what you need to do is when she gets it washed you ahve to leave some conditioner in, dont rinse it all the way out , her hair is still baby fine and if she has alot of it , it should be trimmed also , she has the knots from sleeping and that is very common, i am a hairstylist and see it all the time

Baby hair is so fine, so once it starts getting longer, it tangles easily. You can try using a detangling spray, but it may only help when you're combing her hair after a bath. Sleeping, playing on the floor and being in a carseat will probably just make it tangle up again. Try getting it trimmed, even if it's just the very ends. Trims will help with the super fine ends, thicken the hair up a bit, and help with the tangles. By the time kids are around 2, they usually don't have such fuzzy ends and bad tangles.

try johnson and johnson spray leave in conditoner. she is probably sweating in her sleep and rolling around which is causing the tangles. spritz some extra conditioner in before she goes to sleep so she will wake upo with less tangles.

It tangles because people scrub their hair too hard with shampoo if they just stopped doing this then this would not happen.

No.. Its silly to think the body can magically control hair and make it tangle.
Its just the way her hairs developing to be.
Try conditioner?
Or using a frizz control shampoo.
