They vary due to their environment but the ones I've had have been very playful. They tend to find one person out of a crowd and stick to them with loyalty bordering on obsession. I love their colors too, It's nice to have such a different looking cat. It definitely works with their personality

Any cat with 3 colors is extra in all probability to be woman. And a Tortie is like another cat. They run warm and chilly. we've a DSH tabby and a DSH tortie. The tabby is a extensive suck, and replaced right into a rescued stray out of the bush. We chanced on him camping out 4 years in the past. He replaced into the skinniest little bobblehead cat ever. We took him abode with us and did all the terrific issues via him; worming, photos, neuter, microchip. he's a extensive loving boy now, very candy nevertheless i'm not keen on him biting my ft in the nighttime. The tortie replaced right into a Craigslist rescue. She replaced into being surpassed around from abode to abode on a weekly foundation. The 5th time she replaced into presented, I went and have been given her. we've had her for 3 years now. She's very stand-offish, walks on the kitchen table (yuck), yet likes to stick to you into the showering room. partly for interest and partly to be certain if she will detect any plastic to bite on. She's not overly affectionate nevertheless we've had her for extra advantageous than 0.5 her existence now. she will hardly cuddle, or perhaps then only for a couple of minutes. Frankly, she's between the quirkiest cats i've got ever had notwithstanding it is not correct. She'll stay out her existence with us, on her words.

temperament is based on breed not color of cat. Tortoiseshell is only a color not a breed. If you know what breed the cat is this will help determine the temperament.

my tortoiseshell kitty acts like a queen. She won't cuddle with you uunless she jumps up on your lap. She really is a nice cat though she is very nice to kids and hardly ever scratches. Tortoiseshells are really pretty and extremely nice

'Naughty tortie' is the saying!

They're known for being extremely highly strung - in fact most are little cows to treat in vet practice! As pets they're great fun, but will often not hesitate to swipe you when they've had enough!

Still there are always exceptions - my sister's tortie was the most harmless cat I've ever met. Can't tar them all with the naughty tortie brush I suppose!

Torties tend to be like Queens and they don't do well with other cats. They can be very sweet and talkative. But they have attitudes towards their own kind.

Well, my ZoZo is very affectionate, chatty, and active. She makes all sorts of weird chirpy noises, chews on you when you're petting her and tends to "love" up my great dane and snuggle with him. My bosses torti, is very grumpy and everything is only on her terms, so, with that said, it depends on the cat.
