Depends on the drinker. Some find that peppermint tea is great for settling an upset stomach. If you have heartburn, peppermint tea probably isn't very good for you. Tea (all flavors) is supposed to be very good source of anti-oxidants, and a lower source of caffeine than coffee, so if peppermint doesn't work out, there's another flavor that will give you the benefits you seek.

It's very good for any digestive complaints (e.g. cramps, indigestion, stomach pain); peppermint oil has a very soothing and relaxing effect on the stomach and intestines.

It's also generally quite relaxing to drink so if you suffer from anxiety and stress it can be a good way to unwind, especially before bed.
