Mine did that for a while, so I keep her more awake during the day and she's fine during the night, mostly.

I have one cat who's a great sleeper and the other wakes up between 4-5 every morning. We keep our bedroom door open during the night but once he wakes us up he gets kicked out. That way he can sleep with us at night if he likes (he usually prefers to sleep under our bed).

Get a mechanical feeder on a timer.
Clap your hands real loud - that makes mine run away and let's him know I am not to be bothered in bed.
Put the cat in another room (with the litter box) and shut the door - some cats may resent that a tear up a few things.
Let your cat sleep with you - after he understood I was not to be bothered, this solution was best.

close your bedroom door!! lock the cat in the bathroom... w/ it's things it needs. food, water, the kitty litter box, and a comfortable place for it to sleep. haha start waking the cat up, when it's sleeping.... maybe it will get the hint :P

I have the same problem. When she starts to bother you, push her away a little. I have a kitten, and when she wants me to get up, she'll start biting me. Then I put my head under the cover, and she stops. She'll pretend to sleep until I get up. If you don't want to do that, then right when she starts bothering you, open your door to let her out. Or you can leave your door cracked open, so she can go in and out as she pleases.

If you feed your cats first thing in the morning then the cats soon figure out that they get fed as soon as you get out of bed.
They will then try to wake you up in order to get fed sooner.
I feed my cats as the last thing I do before I go to work - this way they do not associate my getting out of bed with their meal.

lock her out before you go to bed, is about the only advice I can give you. I suffer from the same problem with my guys, and there isn't much I have been able to do about it except lock them out.
