I just need some really cheap auto insurance for the next 6 months......

The cheapest I've found is ESurance but I've heard that they're known to drop you for absolutely no reason? I don't care about the whole "they take forever to get back to you" and stuff I just don't wanna randomly be dropped, being that it's only for 6 months....... anyone know anything about esurance?

Thanks:)

I've gotten quotes from Geico and Progressive and pretty much all the "mainstream" insurance companies......they're all more expensive than esurance. I forgot to add, I also need a company that will allow me to get insurance with them without having had insurance for more than the past 30 days.

I used it for about 6 mos. I have not heard that they drop you, only if you don't have the money in the bank when your bill is due. I dropped them because they didn't cover that well. We have a Yukon XL and the coverage was not that good for what we were paying, Try farmers or Allstate. We went to Allstate because we have 100/300 thousand for the same price as esurance's 50/100 thousand. Cheaper deductibles. But to answer your question, they didn't drop us, and I don't think they would have unless we couldn't make the payment for some reason, and yes for that, they will drop ya in an instant.

The cheapest auto insurance I've found, by several hundred dollars a year, was from Costco. If you are a member, go to their website at costco.com and look under services, then insurance.

You'll have to type in your member number, off of your card, but they will give you a quote. I shopped around like crazy for quotes about a year and a half ago, and they beat everybody by $450 per year for the same coverage. The actual insurance is through a division of AMEX.

Honestly, go to GEICO. Everyone says they are expensive, but they are the only insurance company that allows you to pay about 15% of the policy to get a policy. Obviously other insurance companies want half, if not all of the policy to get a policy. I like GEICO because of the fact that they are very flexible. I don't suggest being late with payments, but I have been on 2 occasions and they gave me an additional week to pay my monthly payment and this is through email. They don't drop you and they have many plans. And you can get insured today. And they are a great carrier to have.

I love Esurance! They're easy to steal business from!

I've haven't heard that they drop you so much as your rate changes after you sign up. It seems like they have a problem between the online quoting system and their underwriting approval.

You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.

Take care,
