You are going to want a road bike or a hybrid. Certain types of hybrids are called "commuters." they often include features like fenders since commuting on a bike can often be messy. However, if you envision yourself becoming more of a cyclist and doing some fitness or longer recreational rides, a road bike would be preferable. Trek offers a full range of each. Other good brands with full lines include Specialized and Giant.

First congrats on wanting to improve your fitness thru cycling. Next let me say that I'm having a lot of trouble answering your question. As a "type A" triathlete I can't come up with any reasons to ride a "comfort" bike. If you see yourself ever riding with others, or caring about how fast your going, or if you went faster then last Tuesday get a road bike. You will spend more, but that 10miles your working for will go by a lot faster at 20+mph then it will on a cruiser. Good luck

I would recommend either a hybrid or mountain bike as these offer more versatility and do not need to be treated as delicately as a roadbike. Also an entry level road bike will set you back almost $1000, whilst either of the above types of bike's tend to be far cheaper. good luck.

I holiday a highway motorbike on section motorbike trails, highway and particularly lots each place different than gravel areas. I holiday almost 2k miles a 300 and sixty 5 days and on the hills upward push as much as 35 mph, commonly used above 12 mph a holiday would desire to be 6 miles to artwork one way as much as 50 miles an afternoon for exciting.

A hybrid would be a good choice for you. Look at a TREK 7.2 or 7.3. Versitile entry level bike that would allow to to increase your miles when you find out how fun cycling is!
