A friend of mine has a son who is in 9th grade and she has recently found that he is using steroids. He is extremely aggressive and depressed. What is the safest way to get him to stop using? What are the side effects to expect when coming off of them? Is it possible to help him quit at home, or should you use other sources?
He has attacked his father and broken the fathers leg during the attack. He has also threatened his siblings! Please help with any ideas or previous experience!

Side effects of getting off of it he will feel weak, Depressed, and less aggressive. He should be suppervised at all times. Possibly go see a doctor. Stereriods are serious things with serious consequences.

Have him talk to someone who has used the juice. Not someone who will preach to him. I for one am a supporter of steroid use, but only by responsible adults (usually over 22yo). Like any other drug, it is harmful when abused. He needs to know the extreme side-effects of steroid use a such a young age. It can effect his testosterone levels forever. Which means he could never get muscle development without using steroids. So everything he gains (for the rest of his life) will be lost everytime he cycled off. And steroids get dangerous if taken for long peroids of time (liver & heart damage, high blood pressure, tendon damage, etc.). They also need to get mental help for his anger. Steroids don't cause craziness. They will make you more aggressive (again why someone needs to be mature before using), but they don't cause you to break someone's leg (esp. your Dad's). I wish him and his family the best of luck.

P.S.-Don't mistake the GNC "steroid alternative" stuff as real steroids. They are not steroids, they are over-hyped coolaid with a mult-vitamin. Have them research what he is taking.

you need to talk to a HRT specialist. just get the local yellow pages and have that kids mom call one up and make an appointment.

that kids got some serious issues because there is no such thing as "roid rage". steroids just intensify the emotions so he already has issues previously
