I didn't mean that they are not allowed to drive. I should have said that my indonesian friend said that 50 is considered as almost elderly there.

Unless someone is impaired, there's absolutely no reason that anyone shouldn't be driving at age 50.

I'm 52. A friend and I calculated that in my driving and motorcycling "career" I've driven between the moon and back plus a bit. I would be black afronted if I was told I was too old to drive at 50.

I didn't pass my test till I was 50, I have had 7 years of accident free driving so far, { mind you I would not want to drive in any other country, } they just don't seem to have any road rules,

all the time a person feels confident to drive even at 90 thats OK but as soon as a person regardless of age feels nervous and not so confident then they should surrender their licence because that would be for their own safety and others on the road

At 50yrs you are as old as you feel,everyone is different.
