My lab 1 and 1/2 years does this all the time to anyone. She is being trained Not to do this though, It is so imbarassing.

I have Bloodhounds. They "see" the world through smells. Guess what is right at snout level? They also smell each other constantly. Good luck!

each person has a special scent just like dogs. they are just smelling you to see if they like you and to introduce themselves lol! my dog is too small to reach their private areas

Dogs smell you and each other in the privates because that is your original scent and that is how they identify you.

Animals are fetish in a way, they like smell that we classified unpleasant.
Your lab will like to smell and even lick its pte parts, coz its her own unique smell.

it comes natrul to them. they smell the odor and think its there job to sniff. when they do this just tell them no and push them away.

I'm not sure if this is 100% correct but maybe your dog is expecting puppies or even needs a "boy dog friend" If you know what I mean
