What's helping me is slowly "weaning" myself from junk foods. I've been eating more fruits and vegetables. Whenever I do have a craving for junk then I eat some fruit or veggies first then I have just a small portion of junk food. That's enough to satisfy the craving. My weakness has always been sweets but I've really been able to cut back and I've lost 10 lbs. in the past month. Another thing that has helped is cutting back on soda pop. I drink nothing but water all day at work and only have pop when we go out to eat which is once or twice a week.

Prepare snacks in advance. Things like celery and carrot sticks, apple wedges, pears. These and other raw veggies and fruits you can cut up into zip lock bags to keep ready to eat in the fridge. Drink plenty of water, and if you are like me and can't stand plain water, get some Fruit2o which is fruit flavored water (all natural). The more water you drink and healthy snacks you have, the sooner you'll get over the junk food cravings.

Here's what I did - find what junk foods you really crave. Are they salty? Chocolate? Savory/cheesy...

Then find better alternatives - I found I love the flavored rice cakes. When I want something salty or cheesy, I have buttered popcorn or white cheddar rice cakes. They are actually satisfying. If I want something chocolate, I get the pre-packaged 100 calorie cookies, and only have one package!

Then if I am still hungry, I eat fruit.

Also, drink more water, or Crystal Light or calorie free beverages. I find that diet soda makes me want to snack even more, though, so I stick to iced tea or crystal light, or just plain ice cold water.

Good luck!

You STOP eating them. It's that simple. Work on your self control. Don't keep any junk food in your house and don't carry cash. It will help keep you from going to vending machines and not having it in your house automatically keeps you from eating it. You just have to make up your mind NOT to eat junk. Think about your health and how good you'll look once you're at a healthy weight.

the mind plays a strong roll in quitting a bad habit , from drugs to bogger fishing ... so first set a goal , be the strongest ad at the moment your anxiety goes bad substitute the junk for something that you like but that is kind of healthy , if you still have the needs ,exercise ,if you still have the needs...then add super hot sauce to junk food so your mind learns-----good no more----and then the eagerness to have it fades....thats a process of 15 days ...

Replace it with something that you like and that satisfies the craving for junk food. I LOVE Sour Cream n Onion chips, love them. But I have a problem eathing them: one chip leads to a whole bag, you know? Instead, I eat carrot sticks with dip. It satisfies the crunchy craving and usually fills me up.

Remember that losing weight, in simple terms, means that you burn more calories than you eat/drink. It might help to find other (healthy) foods to replace junk food. Also, set goals for yourself to stay motivated. Your goals might need to change periodically to help you stay motivated. Also, finding a buddy to lose weight and exercise with can also help a lot.

Same here. I cant seem to stop craving and eating junk. I used to be okay and eat really healthy and now I got off track and started eating crap. I really dont know what to do myself. I think Im just going to try to motivate myself more.

Just use your willpower and remind yourself that they are not any good for you. They will make you fat. As an incentive, put a picture of a gorgeous thin model near your "snack" cabinet. Willpower and determination are the keys to your success. Good luck!
