I am 17 and i haven't seen my dad since i was 4 years old. I have brothers and sisters i have never met and would like to find out about them. My dad's name is/was Toby Mitchell. Or atleast that's what i know him as! Does anyone know how i could find out who they are? Please help me if you can!

i don't know if i want to know my dad but i want to know my brothers and sisters. none of my family ever talk about my dad and find it shocking my mum even told me about my siblings.

You need to state the area that he is living and Born. Find his age or there abouts, you can contact the Salvation Army or the Red Cross for help. You can also check the electoral roles on your computer for a cost of £5-£10. This is probably bad advice but you could also contact a chat show such as Jeremy Kyle, they find almost anyone but with this you have to through the possible embarrassment of going onto TV

I suggest you speak to family that know the history involved here love........you may be opening a can of worms. Find out all the facts you can about your father and why he's not around etc before you go searching for him.
I have not spoken to my dad for 9 years hunni, and I don't wish to change this - my life is better without him.
But that is my situation and I realise that your may be different - just do a bit of detective work first!

i am really sorry about ur situation.and, i am more sorry to say u that its not the way to search him.....but, at least u shared with us, so that we can give u some idea.
try ever possible ways....the school, where he read, his old neighbour, any club where he used to go, any relative.....moreover, u can also search near police station(they got data about all ppl) so it would be more easy to find him from there using only his name. I dont think...online searching is any wise idea, coz he might not have any interest in internet so that he may not have any email id or online data...............take a lots of love from me.take care. all the best.

Try relatives [older ones] or old neighbours if you can find them. BUT beware.....if you do find him you might have wished you hadn't so be prepared before you start anything. He may reject you and you'll feel rejected for the 2nd time or circumstances may mean you dont want to see him when you do find out who he is.

If you know where he lives try finding out on the internet, or maybe a relative knows how to get a hold of him.
