Don't quit something you enjoy for a guy... you will end up regretting it, trust me!
Keep playing football and tell the guy that if he doesn't like the situation HE can quit, or he can date you, or he doesn't have to date you... If he cares about you, he shouldn't try to get you to stop doing something you enjoy.
Best of luck!

Don't change your life for some guy. You obviously like football and it's part of who you are and what makes you happy. If he is not comfortable dating someone on the team, then he quits or he doesn't get to date you! Don't compromise yourself, there are plenty of guys out there who would never try to get you to change a thing about yourself because if you did, you wouldn't be the same... You're still young, find a guy that finds football players hot and irresistable and wants nothing more than to see you play. =)

do not ever quit something you have a passion for just so you can date a guy. If it doesn't work out, you will be so upset you made the sacrifice. If it works out and you live happily ever after, years later, you may still resent the fact that you did not get to persue something you loved because of him. if he does not support you in the things that make you happy, then he is not someone you want to be with anyway

Don't quit football. If this guy doesn't like you enough as you are then he's not good enough for you. He's trying to control you - what else in your life would he try to control if you stayed together. You must enjoy football if you've been involved with it for 3 years so stay with your football and ignore him.

If he can't support something you've been committed to and are passionate about, do you really want to date him? Don't quit football, quit this guy. Next thing you know, he'll be telling you who you can and can't be friends with, and what you can and can't wear. That's not any kind of real relationship.
