It doesn't really matter. If you eat first you should wait 30-60 minutes before working out. You will also want to include some protein in what you eat. If you workout first your body will continue to burn fat for 2-4 hours afterwards, depending on how hard and long you worked out, so what you eat then will be burned. Actually, what I do is eat a very small something (fruit or a protein bar) an hour before my workout and then have my supper within an hour after.

Depends on what time you are working out, and what time you wake up. Make sure you don't eat within 60 min before you work out. You might get stitches if you are doing cardio, and feel uncomfortable and bloated. I workout during the week on my lunch break, I have my breakfast around 10am, workout at noon, then I eat lunch. This works for me!!

Working out on an empty stomach and preferably early in the morning is much better that working out on a full stomach.

The reason why is that when you eat, you blood rushes to your stomach to help with the digestion process. Therefore, if you try to work out you will not feel at your top shape and you might even feel light headed.

Also when you work out on an empty stomach early in the morning your blood sugar will be low. Therefore, when your body starts to burn calories from your work out it will start with the fat in your body.

Good Luck!

if you are in good shape and used to exercising, working out after you eat is fine. if you are not used to it, then work out before. you need blood to go to your stomach as part of the digestion process and if you aren't used to exercising, your heart will have a hard time supplying blood for both. I exercise before breakfast whenever I can so my body will take the nutrients from stored fat.
