God Bless "cheap labor" America and the greed for which it stands

I wonder if you would have bought the computer you are typing on if it had cost twice as much....Hmmmm.

You are just as guilty as everyone else. Everyone bases their purchasing decisions on the lowest cost alternative (accounting for quality)

I don't agree with the presence of illegal aliens, but I don't think you should lump cheap labor into one worldwide bucket and label it as greed driven, unless you are willing to admit your own "greed".

I'm afraid to post my answer on this question because it seems like I get a violation notice for ANY opinion I express against illegal immigration.

So much for freedom of speech...

If cheap labor meant higher quality goods, that would be one thing. But cheap labor equals cheap crap and the big businesses pocket every penny they save on hiring illegals. If cheap labor meant that Walmart could sell a shirt that doesn't fall apart after washing it the first time, that would be a teeney bit better. But it doesn't. The labor gets cheaper, the quality of the products gets crappier, and the big American manufacturers get richer, while the average American working person gets shoved over to the unemployment line. The whole system is whack...

PS...I'll be waiting for my Violation Notice.

I hate to do this, but again, is not that I'm for illegal immigration, but I can't stand ignorant people.
And this is for USAJUS and Mrs. SSG.
The Mexican migrant worker has been the foundation for the development of the rich American agricultural industry, and the El Paso-Ciudad Juárez border region has played a key role in this historic movement. One of the most significant contributions to the growth of the agricultural economy was the creation of theBracero Program in which more than 4 million Mexican farm laborers came to work the fields of this nation. The braceros converted the agricultural fields of America into the most productive in the planet.
While it might be supposed that the increase in illegal immigration was caused only by the Special Agricultural Worker (SAW) provisions of the 1986 amnesty, the INS report indicates that this was not the case. Figures in the report itself show that illegal immigration surged more dramatically from countries other than Mexico. Since the vast majority of those amnestied under SAW were from Mexico, the increase should have been mostly Mexican if the SAW provision had been responsible for the surge.
The cheap labor is mostly agricultural and services, they have nothing to do with quality. The manufactured product comes from factories overseas, or they are produced here by laborers whom have nothing to do with the quality of the materials or machinery they use.
Companies lay off personnel because of the economic circumstances not because illegal immigration. Are you going to tell me that Ford, GM, Boeing employed illegals in their factories? Or Illegals are so highly skilled that take "white collar" positions away from Americans? Or they determine that these people, Charles Wang $655 million. Tyco International CEO L. Dennis Kozlowski with $170 million, Charles Schwab CEO David Pottruck with $128 million, Cisco CEO John Chambers with $122 million and America Online CEO Steve Case with $117 million., earn these outrighteous sums?
Do they determine the high taxes imposed by states that make companies close shop and move out of the country?
Instead of whining about a 50 year old problem that is non-profitable to correct, you should complain about a useless war that has spent ove $415 billion dollars.
You want the truth?, you can't handle the truth!
"Son, we live in a world that has jobs nobody wants
And those jobs have to be done by somebody
with guts. Who's gonna do it? You? You,
Mrs SSG? Companies have a greater
responsibility than you can possibly
fathom. You weep for the unemployed and you
curse the illegals. You have that luxury.
You have the luxury of not knowing what they
know: That illegal immigration, while tragic,
probably saved lives. And their existence,
while grotesque and incomprehensible to
you, saves lives.
You don't want the truth. Because deep
down, in places you don't talk about at
parties, you want them on those jobs You need
need them on those jobs

They use words like hunger, oppression,
hard work...they use these words as the
backbone to a life spent trying to
survive. You use 'em as a punchline.
They have neither the time nor the
inclination to explain themselves to a man who
rises and sleeps under the blanket of comfort
they provide, then questions the
manner in which they provide it. They prefer
you just said thank you and went on your
way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a
basket and start picking produce. Either way,
they don't give a damn what you think you're
entitled to."

Because we're whimps and scared to be called racist even though race has nothing to do with it. Our borders are a joke. Cheap labor is causing the decline of the middle class in other words the rich will get richer, the poor will get poorer, and guess where the middle class is going, down the drain. Really it should be God Bless China for their cheap labor.

The USA is not alone
Many European countries have even worse problems with illegals.
Even a poor country like Jamaica has illegals from Haiti, because Haiti is even poorer.
And that is the issue - there is a flow from poor to less poor everywhere around the world.
Now - instead searching for improvements globally, the only way to remedy it - our politicians starts wars and build walls (walls and wars don't solve problems, as history shows).
The immense efforts, which go towards the counterproductive creation of more violence and destruction, could be used for better purposes, but there is no quick money in it for Haliburton and Lockheed.

unlawful immigration motives many problems this is for specific. that's an undeniable actuality. Given your estimate of 20 million illegals enable's proceed from there. enable's say even a million/3 of them are preserving jobs. this is almost 7 million human beings in the artwork tension. Contributing to the tax base etc. that would desire to go away 7 million job vacancies. might our u . s . a . have the flexibility to handle that many leaving the artwork tension? in all probability not. might human beings step into those jobs for the pay presented? in all probability not. companies final analysis is earnings. might they advance wages to get human beings to artwork those jobs? in all probability not. extra companies might start to outsource. for this reason leaving many human beings out of jobs that now carry jobs. Our total u . s . a . might cave in and the large melancholy might appear as if a cakewalk. As i've got stated unlawful immigration is incorrect and desires to end. yet we additionally would desire to be lifelike on deporting as you're saying 20 million human beings. have confidence me...it may not ensue for various motives. So we could pass forward and think of of lifelike a thank you to handle the region handy and additionally insure the unlawful undertaking is stemmed sooner or later. extra efficient border secure practices and visa structures would desire to be taken care of first and appropriate so the region does not gradually worsen. as quickly as the bypass is stopped we are able to then artwork on what to do with those already here.

It's because no one in congress has the Ball$ to do anything about it. I am a professional bodybuilder and USED to look up to Schwarzenegger. But now I see him as just another POS greedy, gutless coward politician. He, The Terminator, could do soooooo much to help man the border! But he won't. Why? Gutless! Maybe after all the Steroids, his natural Testosterone levels never came back.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Greed

Actually, it's more complex that that. However, I don't like it either and know which side I'm on.

Unfortunate that we share this view, but not patriotism.

I suppose we need somewhere to let seditious people rant so they won't even try something hard like actually running the government.

They cost us billions more than they save our economy. They need to GO!

We tried amnesty before and it got us millions more invaders because they now had a legal resident in this country to harbor them.

NO AMNESTY! No jumping ahead in the line to become a legal citizen. They should all go home and never be allowed to come back.

If they go home on their own, they can follow the legal process for coming back. If we have to find them and force them out, they are never allowed back into the USA for any reason - ever!
