And by genuine I mean genuinely Medieval, not genuinely foreskin. So what is the problem? According to Christian mythology, Jesus was circumcised like all good Jews were, and somebody saved his foreskin. The Holy Prepuce. Why all the anger, the threats, and the nonsense? It is because your own religion embarrases you? Or it is something else?

MafiaGal says that God doesn't love me. Missy says that I have a small penis. And Harvard calls me a dirty old crap. These aren't answers to my questions. Theses are examples of why I'm asking this question.

Timaeus, then perhaps you should have a talk with your Christian brothers who posted the insults at the top of the page.

I dont ger angry over the foreskin of Jesus....actually i laughed so much i fell off my chair! I didnt even know such a thin existed any more....i thought, as Jesus was probably a baby, it would have been disposed of byt the person who circumised him and then, as it is organic, would have rotted away yeeeeears ago! Y would they keep it? They didnt know when Jesus was a baby, that he would be so big!

How stupid! a medieval relic? the foreskin of Jesus? first of all....yuck, thats a bit sick! and then.....hahahahahaha what idiots.

WHO CARES, really?

Who precisely is embarrased? One might be embarrased is the relic is fraudulent, and rightly so. But embarrased that Christ was circumcised? That he had a foreskin? The feast of Christ's circumcision has been celebrated by Catholic and Orthodox Christians for nearly two millenia. The event is reverenced as a symbol of the Incarnation (God taking for himself a human nature), the humility of God in Christ, and as a foreshadowing of the cross.

Whether or not the relic is a fraud, the circumcision of Christ is not something that Christians should have a tendency to get violent and angry about-- and if they are, they are not appreciating the full implications of what it means for God to take on a human nature and live a real human life-- and if this is the case, they are not very good at Christianity.

I have no idea. I donn't even know any Christians that get angry about it. Most Christians don't care about a foreskin other than their own, of course.

Maybe you've been talking to Roman Catholics who need those kinds of things. I certainly don't.

Jesus was circumcised as an 8-day-old baby.So it would have been pretty small in the first place...easy to lose...and as for nuns kissing it and having explosive orgasims(as you elsewhere stated,if you'll remember.I should report you for adult content,as pornography is now neutrally labelled.Who could take anyone like THAT seriously?)...er,please...
No-one kept it according to the Bible.
And if they had,it would have rotted pretty soon(why would they keep it anyway?)
Sorry, boet, but your little fairy-tale is neither true nor funny.
It's funny, though, that you should believe in it.

A lot of christians are very uncomfortable with anything to do with sex or sexuality, or genitals....maybe they think it is exploitive or innappropriate to talk about such things.
I doubt an educated christian historian speaking about it in the context of history would be uncomfortable.

I don't really know, but for myself, I feel it's blasphemous and unclean to talk about a sensitive subject like that! it's as if you are making fun of Jesus Our Lord, and jeering about the sacrifice he made for all of mankind not just one religion but for all! Have a good day.

It just seems to be common sence, or the lack there of, not to mention it in polite society.
