After reading some of the comments on Y! Answers (esp. R&S); it is kind of depressing that the vote from each of these nutballs counts the same as the vote of a PhD biochemist.

Lundstoms, the only moronic thing typed so far is your assumption that the only two forms of government are two competing Greek philosphies from over 2000 years ago.

Scott, I like your answer, but our country was initially founded on the principle that only rich, white landowning males were fit to vote. It was no better off than the nation the US broke away from - trading one aristocracy for another.

Why do so many people assume I am a PhD Biochemist? One look at my posts should suggest that I'm anything but.

I thought Fundies got to vote twice. That explains the 2-to-1 discrepancy in the exit polls.

I assume that you are saying that all fundies are not biochemists. That's interesting, but what if you are wrong?

What if there are hordes of fundies out here with degrees, what then? In fact, why don't we make it a law that no fundies can ever attend a University. Or maybe we could weed them out at the Kindergarten level and selectively 'cleanse' ourselves of this evil breed.

Are you getting my point or has your degree somehow swollen your brain to the point that you no longer can think logically?

Jesus told us his kingdom was no part of this world. He didn't vote or get involved in politics. He was about teaching mankind how to honor and worship His father and ours. Mankind has gotten so far off track that even now with Jesus dying for us and the bible in every home people for the most part do not know what is required of them. God does not want you to die. He created mankind to live in paradise.

Jesus bought back with his perfect life what Adam lost. Can't you guys understand what is going on?

This system of things is coming to an end.

This world as we know it will most definitely will be gone. The bible tells us who will be left. The meek will be left...not the guy with the PhD or the comedian with the bad language.

The mega stars and the divas, the CEO's and the Military will all be a thing of the past.

These people have no place in their lives for God. So God will have no place in his paradise for them.

Please wake up. We will soon see starvation, earthquakes, pestilence, wars and the most extreme weather conditions ever known to mankind. God is trying to get you to ask the right questions. What do I have to do to survive? How did mankind get into such trouble?
Satan wants you all to die. He will be destroyed and he wants to take you with him. He wants no one to serve God.

Follow satan to a sure death or follow Jesus to worship that will give you the gift of eternal life in a parklike home where peace is the norm.

Quit voting for mans rule and start voting for Gods rule.

Make a wise choice. Striving after riches and fame will end badly.

Striving after pure worship will result in happiness that will never end.

Ah, but that IS the principle our country is founded upon. And we've had fundies voting for 230+ years now, and the country still isn't run over with their ideas.

I think we're pretty safe. And the fundies mean well...they really do.

Not all the nutballs are Fundies. But yes, that those nutballs have the same vote is pretty scary.Imagine if any of those nutballs was in the goverment...

yeah. the last two u.s. presidential elections have really tested my faith in democracy. this is the kind of leadership you get when the majority of those voting believe an ancient fairytale about some guy and a boat saving all the animals and a 6,000 year-old Earth.

how can people like that make informed decisions in the modern world??

I'd like to know what you define "fundies" as? Are these people who believe in what they say they believe in and therefore answer questions accordingly. I should think it a trifle sad if others would wish this power be taken away from anyone who has a brain and can type on these machines we call computers.

Surely you do not wish this power taken away from anyone who doesn't match your belief system ... ?

Donkey, thumbs or down don't actually count for anything.

Well, it stops PhD biochemists getting above themselves. At least the fundies aren't putting jellyfish genes in tomatoes.

It's the basis of America. Education is the key. If you think you're right, figure out how to convince the others they're not.

It ain't easy.
