It's interesting to me to see responses from homosexual Christians- which inherently seems to be a manifest contradiction. It seems as though individuals now pick and choose thier religious beliefs like a fashion show or a buffet.

I'd like serious responses rather than... "um, 2." My point is just that it seems people pick the good parts of a religion and disregard the rest.

Jesus said: “By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.” (John 13:35) Such love reaches across racial, social, and national boundaries, drawing people together in genuine brotherhood. So strong is this love that it sets them apart as being truly different. When the nations go to war, who have enough love for their Christian brothers in other lands that they refuse to take up arms and kill them? That is what early Christians did.
Jesus said that his true followers would be “no part of the world.” (John 15:19) To worship God in a manner that he approves requires that we keep ourselves “without spot from the world.” (Jas. 1:27) Can that be said of those whose clergy and other members are involved in politics, or whose lives are largely built around materialistic and fleshly desires?—1 John 2:15-17.

Well, you haven't really defined 'truly religious' so it's difficult to answer.
Surely you can believe in Jesus and God and still be homosexual, a nurse, a teacher,a taxman or a prisoner in jail?
What I wonder is whether you meant 'how many religious people like me are out there'?
And as you will no doubt be aware, there are quite a few denominations (and even other faiths). So I dare say that will account for it. Not everyone will subscribe to your particular 'blend' of practises, or even beliefs. Just an idea.
Peace be with you.

Meow......... This is for you
Did Jesus Christ with His own mouth instruct any of His disciples to "write down" any of His teachings? No. With the exception of the Book of Revelation (Apocalypse) by St. John the Apostle, Jesus Christ gives no such instructions to any of His disciples or Apostles. In fact, only the Apostles Peter, John, James, Jude and Matthew were inspired by the Holy Spirit to write Scripture. Why were the other seven not inspired of the Holy Spirit to "write" if the "written" Word of God is the only authority to be followed in the Christian religion?
The papacy is the oldest Intuition in the world .- How could it survived without the grace of God & the guidance of the Holy Spirit.........The Holy Spirit did not convert to Islam in 610AD or Lutheranism in 1517AD or Calvinism in 1540s AD ...There's no comparisons..................The truth is , they Catholics give us the first Bible..the rest of religions intrepid it differently & formed counterfeit religion's groups...which inturn give us supermarket christens;.......pick & choose laws to suit themselves [ cool & new age stuff ] but has nothing to do with the scriptures....

The truly religious ones are good value. But most of the sanctimonious ones - like, um, you - are _really_ out there.

You should ask yourself if you are looking for religious people or for saints.
There are many religious people and very few saints (we are all human after all, everyone has his limits)
