The best thing is that, at the end of our lifetime here, we are all part of a Whole--no colors (except what we choose), no religions, no need for materials, or righteousness, or jealousy--no fears.
Things in common during this time here? Sooo many...we all have experiences and learn, or not, from them....we have desires and dreams, talents to use & teach, we have friends & families, we are all concerned for healthfulness, we need food & water, we are all children & grow, we all live & die.
We are part of the human race...a species of this planet...an evolving, growing breed of lifeform here. We love the diversity of our pets...their colors, their shapes, their hair differences...too bad we do not have such an appreciation of our own, huh?

Mostly we all want a better world for ourselves, our families, friends and the wider world. We are all capable of love and compassion for others (though we may not always show it!).
And we're doing our best to muddle through this world as best we know how.
All things that unite us a humans I guess. So I could list all the respiration, metabolism things too, but that isn't what you meant is it?
Er.. will that do?

I'd say the ability to believe in what they think is true so strongly, and the ability to defend it.
