She seems to always find a reason to come over and then she stays for hours and hours. I have to cook for her all the time and listen to her go on for hours. I just feel like I need some time away from her but I don't know how to go about getting it. Any ideas????

that is a tough one. my sister in law went through the same thing. is your b.f. the baby of the family?mom's favorite?that can make it worse. if your bf is home when she comes over, excuse yourself, saying you have to run errands. if it's just you, tell her you were just on your way out for an appointment. make something up. it's going to take some time to get her to understand. talk to your bf. see if he has any suggestions. if he is the last one to leave home, she may just be lonely. kind of an empty nest thing. good luck to you.

Have your purse and keys handy when she comes over. Tell her you were on your way out and am running late as it is and you'll call her when you have time to visit. Do this every time she stops by. She'll get the hint.

Make up an excuse that she can't come over...possibly say your sick and your boyfriend needs to take care of you. Tell your boyfriend's mother how you feel.
