I've just noticed that instant messenger often invites the "how are you doing?" from an ex, in at a rate much higher than if the person had to pick up a phone and call to ask.
No specific incident, just noticing a trend.
I was wondering if anyone had a similar perception?

yes I know what you mean. It seems it is easier to comunicate over computer than in person or by phone. You see that name there and just can't help but im before it goes away. I know you hear a door close but I got tired of the door slamming and turned the sound off.
