About a month ago, a new girl started working in my dept(really bright and attractive). She kept herself to herself, got on with the work and we barely spoke at all.(just the way it was-there was no falling out).

There were moments when we would smile at each other, be it in the office or in team meetings. We had lunch at the same time, but we always ate alone or she would eat with other friends(in another dept). She's moved to another dept.

She started to email me and we went for lunch. She kept asking me about myself, about work ,we just chatted and she smiled at me continuously throughout! I asked for her number and she said she'd txt me, but she didn't(gave her my number).I apologised for asking for her number-she said don't be silly!(didn't give number though)

We're going for lunch tomo again, I asked her out for Saturday, but she said she's got a DATE!I wished her luck, but she said the bloke might change his mind!

Does she fancy me or only want to be friends?Advice

Will be happy as friends, but I don't want to miss a possiblr opportunity! I wished her luck with the date, as I didn't want to come across as I only wanted 1 thing!(which I don't)

Sounds like she is not sure yet. Just let her get to know you better. Don't rush her or you will run her away.

She just might be thinking about it, she may be reluctant to get involved with someone from work, and all the additional scandal that might bring. give it time, let her know you are there, carry on having a laugh and joke with her, you never know

No- she's not interested. She's already not given you her number- and laughed about your request.

Forget about her- move on- find some other tasty bit of skirt that won't do your head in worrying about.

well i think she just wants to be friends because any girl that lets you know that she has a date does not want to be with you,and that was her way of telling you that.......but dont give up,girls hate a quitter

sounds like she may already have a boyfriend and giving her phone # would be a bad idea - since you already asked her out and she kindly said no iwould say friends
