I have been mistaken for David Bowie a few times. However, I have a really good friend who looks identical to Ray Winstone and he even speaks exactly the same as him. I go for a beer with him every week or so and almost every time we're out someone will come up to him. He doesn't really mind, especially when it's good looking women approaching him in bars. Fortunately for my friend, the real Ray Winstone is a popular down-to-earth bloke, that most people respect - so everybody is friendly towards him and nobody gives him any abuse. In all fairness to my mate, though (when I've been with him, anyway) he always makes it clear that he's not Ray Winstone - he does play on it sometimes, for a joke, but he swears that he has never led anyone on.

Yes quite often I was mistaken for the for the horse from the TV show "Mr. Ed" where the horse could talk. At least they mistook me for the front end of the horse for a change!
That's not always been the case.
