oh no...what will bush do without the british support and their 7 thousand troops in iraq.
usa is in some serious trouble if all the 7100 british troops leave iraq. the whole country would be in chaos if they all leave........
ok sorry for being so cynical but the support from british will never go away...the only thing they can take away is the physical aspect of it which is their 7100 troops.

Well if a "pro-terror" candidate is ELECTED (via democracy, you know?) into power in Britain, perhaps the US will have to invade us for a little regime change. Then, once 100% of the world detests the US and you've wasted thousands more soldier's lives trying to subdue us as we use a resistance - sorry, insurgency - to stop you stamping on our faces then perhaps you'll bring all your troops home and stop interfering in things which are none of your business.
Surely the US is mighty enough to be able to handle one country by themselves? The war is even less popular here than it is in the US - you'd really have trouble finding people who agree with it and don't want the troops to return from the needless slaughter.

Bush will be out of office by the time (or close to the time Blair steps down) and as you say (noble cause against terrorism) If we continue starting wars the USA will be so far in dept that the other country's will own us. I'm not anti war I just hate seeing us getting in over our head.

No!!!! We CAN NOT " all agree that American and British troops in Iraq are keeping global terrorism in check..." !!!!!!
How can you not understand that there are millions of Americans and British citizens who don't accept this premise at all?
Where have you been?
And what in the world is a "pro-terror candidate"???
It's one thing to devour each issue of Human Events for its content, but you don't have to make tea with the pages afterward.
Tony Blair went along with George W's BOGUS assertions about the wide variety of WMD's Iraq was supposed to have had as well as an alleged nuclear weapons program etc., etc.
This all turned out to be patently untrue and well over 85% of the British people resent how Iraq unecessarily became linked with the 9/11 attack on the U.S. They refer to Tony Blair as George Bush's "lap dog"
I can assure you that the British people won't allow another "lap dog" to take his place!
And the greatest republic to ever exist on this planet won't put freedom on hold until the last international terrorist is killed.
The Cold War almost lasted 50 years, but we didn't put our freedoms on hold until after it was won. This was a time when literally thousands of hydrogen bombs on ICBMs pointed at hundreds of U.S. cities.
To the degree that your enemies cause you to stop being who you are and to stop doing what you would usually do, is the degree to which your enemies have enjoyed victory over you.
Haven]t you forgotten what George W. recommended shortly after 9/11?
He told us to keep flying and to maintain our normal shopping and entertainment activities
That made a whole lot of sense back then, but he soon learned about the currency of fear and how well it can be used to consolidate political power.
This currency of fear has caused us to devolve from a republic with a founding fathers' consensus approach to one with more of a put yourself under the protection of a god father mentality.
The people of Britain fell into this same trap, but they will be the first ones to snap out of this spooked posture that has caused our respective nations to rally unwise agressions at convenient targets that have long since adapted and reconfigured themselves after taking full measure of our strengths and weaknesses. These are targets that didn't have anything at all to do with 9/11 and the rest of the world understands this.
My hope is that you will eventually come to understand this as well.
The war against Communism in the former Soviet Union was one that succeeded in a suprisingly short time.
It was also, and out of necessity, a war that had to be 99.999% IDEOLOGICAL !!!! REMEMBER THAT !!!!
WHY ? BECAUSE THE WAR AGAINST ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISM MUST ALSO BE A WISE AND VIGOROUS ONE THAT IS 99.999% IDEOLOGICAL !!!
Just because George W. and Dick Cheney don[t want to know the difference between FEAR and RESPECT doesn't mean that you shouldn't !

The war against terrorism was something that was local. Bush made it global, and has dragged the UK into it by lies and spin.
I for one would be pleased if Blair's successor had the guts to stand with Europe rather than the US.

I am so disappointed in Blair. How COULD he have supported Bush? What was in it for him? Britain needs to do what is in its national interest. I am sorry they got drawn into this mess in Iraq. I am an American weighing in where I am not well informed but I can't imagine the British don't feel stuck there as well.

Maybe after they let the Radical Militants have their way, like Spain did, with the same Results. They tasted Victory, and Thanked the newly Elected Liberal Spanish Government by Bombing the living daylights out of them. If and when this happens to the UK, maybe they'll Wake up before it's too Late. Contrary to what the Liberals that want to Love Everyone may Think, the Stated Goal of Radical Islam is World Domination. go to http://www.littlegreenfootballs.com . This has nothing to do with Sports, but everything to do with Spreading the True Intent of Radical Islam.
