Tough question . . . I like Marnie Nixon too, the lady who voiced over "My Fair Lady" and I love Billie Holliday, but I have to go with Marian Anderson.

No, there was a popular singer who did voicem-overs for many of the major film musicals of our times, like My fair lady and King and I. I don't remember her name, just her marvelous voice.
