If limewire is illegal, then why don't they just shut down their website?

limewire itself is legal but when people share their copyrighted files on it then it becomes illegal
so its not really limewire's fault that people share copyrighted files on it

There are alot of things illegal, but the government or responsible people let it flow. You know there is alot of content, movies, software is spreaded into the web using limewire and such applications, this spread is needed, you know the vendors want to be as famous as possible, and there software used as much as possible, if they cannot get money, let it spread, they try to control this illegal spread as much as they can.

I know a company that is a Gold certified partner for Microsoft, at the same time it has illegal copies of windows for their employees, and Microsoft knows about that.

It's just like Mexican workers in USA, there are alot of Mexican Illegal workers. The government know about them, they keep them because they pay taxes, cover the work, and If they are gone then the local workers need about double wages than Mexicans.

If Limewire is illegal then sharing websites like Rapidshare is also illegal but don't forget torrent websites, it is very hard to close all this ;-)

Because millions of people have it on their computer and they make business through it. . .there are a lot of illegal websites, but they are not going to shut it down simply because it's against the law

lime wire isnt illegal its not downloading from any domain but its an excellent peer to peer file sharing system its like sharing stuff frm a friend and if this is illigal then our law sucks!!!
