There is a difference between being dumb and being ignorant. Ignorance is bliss because what one doesn't know doesn't affect them emotionally. How could it?
But being dumb, in my view, means one is not intellectually able to grasp all the ramifications of a certain decision or action. They are only able to grasp obvious results and not discern deeper ones. Therefore, confusion sets in and they become angry because of this. Somebody that is dumb has less of an ability to combine intellect and heart to come to a reasonable conclusion. They only know what they feel, and an inability to reason out the initial emotion is what leads to anger.

They're just smart enough to know they're morons or at least that something is wrong. You have to get down to retards before you find that blissful ignorance. Even then look at the poor guys just smart enough to work at McDonald's, think they're happier there than riding the big trike around your neighborhood?

my question to you is "IF IGNORANCE IS BLISS THAN HOW CAN A MORON BE ANGRY". if the moron is angry than he can not possibly be existing in a state of bliss. bliss implies happiness therefore the moron must not be the angry moron you think he is.
so either your perception of the moron is wrong, or we must redefine what bliss is to include a potential and temporary lapse into hostility or it could simply be that your a moron.

Because being ignorant just means not knowing, but could know if they were educated and a moron is a person with an IQ of 51-70 and is a step up from "imbecile" (IQ of 26-50) and two steps up from "idiot" (IQ of 0-25).
Basically Stupid - Incapable of knowing, yet voicing an opinion all the same!

Ignornace is only bliss when one is too ignorant to see truth. For example, you have the occasional headache, but otherwise, you're a happy soul. Then you're diagnosed with a brain tumour. There goes ignorance, and with it, bliss.
