Everyone else had a birthday: Buddah, Muhamed, Moses, David, etc. They all have birthdays.
Only Jesus has a resurection day!
SO shouldn't we celebrate Easter with more zeal than Christmas?
Think about it, in the Spring, nice...

Easter is considered the most important date on the Christian Calendar due to the significance of Jesus' sacrifice for mankind. However, only truly devout Christians adhere to this. The rest enjoy the holiday weekend associated with it and the chocolate Easter eggs.

YES, however ...Not commercial enough for todays society full of $$$$$ and more $$$$..all that's important is $$$$$$$$$$$
The love of money is the root of ALL evil...
so sad...the end times are indeed here....
And on a technical note, the word Easter is in the King James translated Bible only once and it has been transliterated wrongly from the oiginal transcripts..check it out in the Strong's Concordance..
ROOT WORD
pascha {pas'-khah}
of Aramaic origin cf 06453
1) passover

a) sacrifice of passover

b) animal victim of the passover

c) festival of the passover

1) the paschal sacrifice (which was accustomed to be offered for the people's deliverance of old from Egypt)

2) the paschal lamb, i.e. the lamb the Israelites were accustomed to slay and eat on the fourteenth day of the month of Nisan (the first month of their year) in memory of the day on which their fathers, preparing to depart from Egypt, were bidden by God to slay and eat a lamb, and to sprinkle their door posts with its
blood, that the destroying angel, seeing the blood, might pass over their dwellings; Christ crucified is likened to the slain paschal lamb

3) the paschal supper

4) the paschal feast, the feast of the Passover, extending from the 14th to the 20th day of the month Nisan

Christmas, Easter... if Jesus is really what christians say he is then he himself would call these traditions of men and tell you to stop wasting your time with them.

And for the nonchristian answer... well the better you celebrate it the more fun it would be so why not.

Easter and Christmas have nothing to do with Jesus Christ. They are both of pagan origin - one having to do with Sun worship and the other having to do with the worship of Ishtar, the goddess of sex coupled with Sun worship.
Both customs , plus the pagan SUNday worship were incorporated by the Roman Catholic religion and foolishly continued by the Protestants who are still Catholic and do not realize it.
Those holidays should be ignored by real Christians.

Totally disagree, though I understand your reasoning.
I, however, don't celebrate either holiday for their religious value; so, between XMas & Easter, XMas is my favorite because it brings a lot of color & joy to the drab feeling of winter's beginning.
In a more religious aspect, however, I do prefer Ostara over Yule, because Ostara brings much relief from the drab feeling of winter, haha. :D

i totally understand what you are saying but Jesus had to be born first before he could die. i believe it is pagans who have made Christmas bigger than Easter. Jesus still loves them though. Christmas does seems awful "worldly".

Easter is just a holiday, you can have faith without celebrating it.
