actually, i still have at least two months to think about it... basically what I need is a particular area in Philosophy- and applying it in daily life- could be in music, in literature, in the movies, etc...

in our earlier years in philosophy we have been reading through texts- philosophizing... the baby thesis i guess would really be more of an application..

one example I guess would be The existentialism of certain artists... but that has been done and I don't want to just repeat it.

Do the questions in philosophy stay the same but the generations just reask the same aged old questions

There are virtually infinite options for this. What areas of philosophy are you most interested in? Which philosophers do you like most? Dislike most? How long is your paper supposed to be? Are you supposed to have multiple sources? All of these questions will lead you in the right direction.

Typically when I write a paper I start by focusing on a particular theory that I either really like (so I can defend it) or really dislike (so I can argue against it). Think of a particular argument that you read during the course of a philosophy class that you had a strong reaction to, and either defend it or attack it! (Attacking poor philosophical theories is one of the most fun parts of philosophy!)
