Just try to figure out what the poems means, how it makes you feel, how the poet achieves those effects, and if you have studied other poems, you can compare and contrast this one to them.

First you need an introduction, next a thesis, followed by a conclusion. This is the basic outline format. The introduction should bring the main points you wish to bring to the reader's attention to light. Id est: "The window's light is a bitter sweet literary work, which provides a walk through the eyes of a lady who has lost her love. Tearful moments carry you through to a fabulous understanding of the true meaning of being together eternally. Each stanza of this fine work places the reader in great want for the next. Join me as I introduce this literary wonder to you; I am certain you also will be delighted." In the thesis, jot down the main points of each stanza of the poem; make these the points and sub-points of your essay outline. Work these concepts into the essay papaer in a fluid manner, trying not to be superfluous in your diction. In the conculsion, recap the entire outline. In short, first you tell the reader what you are going to write about, then write about it, then tell them what you wrote about.

I suppose you may have to write about the metaphors, similes, personifications, or allusions included in the poem. Then discuss your feelings or opinions of the poem.
